SKOB CC skipper Jye Sampson has left the club after a four-season stint during which he served as both 1st XI captain and club coach.

A combative top-order batsman and finger-spinner, Jye was part of the side that claimed the 2015/16 Dunstan Shield Premiership, accumulating 1175 runs at an average of 25 and claiming 22 wickets across his four seasons.

Jye's tactical nous and aggressive mindset guided the team to some stirring victories during his time as captain, and in the club's three wins last season he was heavily instrumental with bat and ball, taking key wickets late in the final game that saved SKOB from relegation.

SKOB wishes Jye well in his future cricketing endeavours.

The new captain will be subject to a future announcement. The committee intends to elect a captain from a shortlist of internal candidates.
